Council Votes to Remove Agressive Fowl |

The City Council voted March 14 to allow City Manager Chester Nolen to contract with Animal Services, Inc. to remove agressive fowl from Hulen Park. It was not specified how many could be removed, nor who would make the decision whether they were aggressive or not. Citizen Debby Dunson presented a petition with 1600 signatures to allow the ducks and geese to stay. Several other citizens spoke to keep the ducks. One lady spoke in favor of removing them. Councilman Bob Force verbally attacked Ms. Dunson, and a heated exchange followed. Editor's Note: Before you vote in the next city council election, be sure to go to a council meeting and watch your councilman "perform." |
