Info that Superintendent Ronny Beard Resigned

Our source tells us that Ronny Beard resigned from CISD Tuesday afternoon to take the Region XX position.

This puts in doubt the Times Review's accuracy. Today they ran a story by Pete Kendall saying Beard wasn't leaving yet. Two sentences of information were followed with two pages of PR spin on what a good superintendent he was.

Their description of what they do is this:

"Education Service Center, Region 20 is one of 20 regional education service agencies within Texas which assist school districts in improving student performance and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of school operations. We are a non-regulatory agency; our relationship with school districts is collaborative and supportive."

The Service Center concentrates on 15 school districts clustered West of San Antonio and includes San Antonio.
