Cleburne ISD Will Get Conservator, Request Criminal Investigation |

August 13, 2008 - According to Cleburne ISD Superintendent Dr. Ronny Beard, CISD expects to be assigned a Conservator by the Texas Education Agency any day now. Dr. Beard said it is not known who the Conservator will be, other than it will not be former Interim Superintendent Dr. James Warlick. "We intend to cooperate fully with the Conservator," said Dr. Beard. In addition, Dr. Beard said CISD will file information with the District Attorney’s office and other investigative agencies for possible criminal action. CISD must pay a Conservator $60 per hour with a maximum of $480 per day until such time as TEA deems a Conservator is no longer necessary. It is our understanding that the Conservatorship starts with a 3-month term and is either extended or dropped depending on CISD's progress. Lancaster ISD has recently had a conservator appointed by TEA after a
