Dear President Boles and Trustees:

In light of problem areas uncovered by examining CISD financial records, we have two requests regarding renewal of contracts this time.

First, please do not renew the contract of Dr. Sharron Miles. It appears to us that many of the questionable expenditures have been made by her.

Second, please do not renew or extend the contract of Superintendent Robert Damron. He has two years left on the current contract. We think we should keep our options open to ask him to leave without having to buy out a new three-year contract.

The questionable expenditures of taxpayer funds (local, state and federal) currently under investigation by the TEA were made under his watch. We do not know what the TEA investigation will disclose, but we need to maintain maximum flexibility to deal with the problem when the investigation is finished.
