TEA Investigation of Cleburne ISD Continues

May 1, 2007 - The Texas Education Agency investigation of Cleburne ISD is not over, Harold Gentry learned last week. The investigation, begun in September, was expected to be finished by March, but TEA auditors have asked for more and more documents.

Auditors have been in Cleburne for several days at least twice. Rumors have been floating around the community that CISD has the preliminary report, but that is not so, according to TEA.

In an email to Harold Gentry, who filed the initial complaint, Mary Gonzales of TEA said last week “The preliminary report has not been issued to the district and we are still developing our findings.”
